Construction & operation of canteen kitchens & company gastronomy
On the 22nd and 23rd of May 2019, the 5th Annual Forum on Trends and Efficiency for the D-A-CH region took place in Munich.
Also this year we participated as platinum partner and had the opportunity to listen to many exciting lectures. The event enables us to exchange ideas with other participants and interested parties. The complete program lasted 2 days and offered exciting practical examples.
On Wednesday, 22 May at 12:50 p.m., our customer Sodexo (Sodexo Services GmbH) presented the latest developments in production planning (intelligent production planning for canteen kitchens in canteen catering). Mr. Thomas Huber (CIO, Sodexo Services GmbH) reported on the optimization, efficiency increase and process–oriented work using the Delegate Software Solution.
As CIO at Sodexo Services GmbH, Thomas Huber is responsible for Austria, Germany and Switzerland. He has also been the founder of Virtual Factory for 18 years, working as an IT consultant in various business areas. From the development of the first e-learning application, especially for the further training of doctors, to the project management of the introduction and optimization of inventory management systems and warehouse solutions, he is constantly accompanied by the topic of “digitization”, where he has successfully applied his expertise in numerous projects, especially in the gastronomy and FM sector.
Highlights of the event
Of particular interest were the visits to the newly built Mensa on the Garching research campus of the Munich Student Union, the new BayernLB staff restaurant and the food distribution centre (SVZ) of Munich University Hospital.
The event is for kitchen managers, operations managers, F&B managers, caterers, purchasing and business managers, specialist planners, dealers from the areas of company restaurants, hospitals, old people’s homes, large-scale catering, catering service providers, event caterers, specialist schools, associations, student unions, school kitchens, government and public kitchens, transport catering, long-distance kitchens.
