On Thursday, June 22nd 2017, our team participated in the 16th international team and company run under extreme climatic conditions (temperatures above 30°C/86 °F). Even though the starting signal only sounded at 8 p.m., the conditions reminded mildly of a desert race. Still, all participants managed to finish the 5km race and very good results were reached. Starting point and goal was the Vienna Ernst Happel Stadium, with the route leading through the beautiful Prater Hauptallee, where passers-by were cheering for the runners. High-level executives of the food service industry meet at periodic events via the ICA network. The ICA Executive Network members meet several times a year at changing locations, where different key topics are presented by high-profile speakers. Hooray! Our new hardware / server infrastructure arrived today. As customer requirements are growing steadily, we need to upgrade our internal server structure with even more efficient hardware. Together with Peaknet we are currently converting our entire server landscape in order to be able to provide sufficient performance and memory space for the increasing demands of our customers. The infrastructure currently includes an average of 284 loaded databases with a total capacity of 6,1 TB, which are primarily used for testing, specifications (such as writing FRs), demos & development. For some customers we released the new functionality within version 11.20 but in the current version 12.00 the interface is available for all our customers as an optional license. In cooperation with “Eaternity“, Delegate has created an interface for CO2 calculation. Via this web service interface, Delegate receives the calculations of CO2 values of all recipes per business unit based on the ingredients, taking into account purchase behavior based on delivery notes.
